Показано особливості розвитку бібліотеки як важливого науково-інформаційного підрозділу університету. The author analyses the work of the seient ific library of Yuriy Fedkovich Chernivtsi National University in 50 - 70 years of the XX-th century. The peculiarities of the library development have been marked, as one of the important scientific informational department of the university.
