Abstract
The article is devoted to the issues of specificity of TV and cinema scripts
and to the functional correlation between cinema, television amd literature.
“The Passion”, Mel Gibbson’s screen version of the Biblical plotline having
been taken as an example, the issue of a script as a reaction to the known
text is studied. The question of literature as a script foretext is emphasised
