Abstract
The master's thesis is devoted to the study of Quaternary glaciation in the
territory of Central and Eastern Europe and its reflection in school geography
courses. The study covers the analysis of the geological structure and relief of the
region, the characteristics of ice ages, the spread of ice sheets and their impact on
the formation of the modern landscape. Special attention is paid to the analysis of
textbooks and geography atlases, determining the level of detail of the material on
the Quaternary glaciation and the effectiveness of its teaching methods. The aim of
the work is to conduct an in-depth study of the geological history of the region,
assess the role of glaciations in the formation of the modern relief and develop
recommendations for improving the teaching of this topic at school
