У статті розглядається проблема переосмислення жіночих образів гомерівської «Одіссеї» в романі Ейвінда Юнсона «Прибій і береги». Основна увага приділяється перенесенню оповідного акцента із зовнішнього сюжетного задуму на внутрішній світ персонажів, що зумовлює релятивізм їх морально-психологічних характеристик. Автор статті приходить до висновку, що зміщення наративного центру дає широкі можливості для інтерпретації традиційних образів і зміни їхньої змістової структури. The article tackles the problem of women's characters of Homeric «Odyssey» in Eivind Unson's novel «Surf and shores». The main attention is given to the transferring of narrative accent from the external subject plan for a private world of characters that causes relativity of their moral and psychological characteristics. The author of article comes to the conclusion, that displacement of the narrative center gives ample opportunities for interpretation of tra¬ditional images and alteration of their substantial structure.
